我和英语有个误会

摘--《海外星云》
  Every single day
  入夏，我去百货商店买防晒油。女售货员说“see!I ues this cream every single day and look at the results!”
  我马上反应"how about the double day?”
  看着她发愣，我还问“every other day?”
  在我旁边的妹妹，从此又捡到一个笑话。
  （注every single day 是指“每天”）

   Better place
   同事MARY别有高就已经有段时间，一些平时与她联系过的客户向我问她的近况，我说“she is at better place now”客户听了后变的很愕然还很悲哀地问“what?how sad!what hppend to her?”
   我看到他的样子，明白自己用错了词句，马上解析说“she found an new job she is working at a better place now ”
   因为“shi is at a better place”的意思是他已经上了天堂。:D:)
