KOREAN HISTORY : AN EXTREMELY BRIEF HISTORY OF THE HAN Korean people always call themselves 'Hangere' or 'Hanminjok', not the english word 'Korean', and the word 'Korea' originated from the name of a country, which was founded by the Han. The word 'Han' that is used to mean 'Korean' was originally a native Korean language, which means 'Opening the heaven and earth', and gere means clan, race in the native Korean language. Therefore, Hangere means Korean people. Daehanminguk(Hanguk) is the official name of Korea, the Republic of Korea. It means 'The Great Han People's Nation'. HISTORY AND USEFUL INFORMATION : 1) Chinese HAN DYNASTY AND HAN CHINESE On the other hand, the word 'Han dynasty' of China was not named by themselves at that time. According to the Chinese history book, the Han dynasty was originally a vassal of the West Cho empire, which was founded by Hang Woo the Namman. When Hang Woo finished conquering China, the Han dynasty was named by Hang Woo. The word 'Han Chinese' originated from the Han dynasty. It didn't originated from a ethnic group. so, the word 'Han Chinese' began to appear in China around 200 BC. It means the word 'Han Chinese' was not orginally a native Chinese language. There is no comparison between Han and Han Chinese. There are officially-adopted 24 history books in P.R.China. and Saki is one of that official books, which was written during the Han dynasty. According to that book, ancient Chinese considered the Namman as 'southern strangers' or 'southern barbarian'. 2) THE JUSIN Aguta who founded the Kim dynasty is the Jusin of Korean extraction. according to the history book about the Jusin, he is the 8th lineal descendant of Kim Ham-bo(Korean). Nurhachi, the Jusin, founded the 2nd Kim dynasty(it was changed to 'the Chung dynasty'), and after conquering China, the Jusin called themselves 'Manju'. The Jusin belong to Altaic peoples, same as Korean. According to the history book of the Manju, Korean and Manjurian share the same history. it means we were one. ADDITIONAL HISTORY : THE CHINESE WAR OF INDEPENDENCE (1) The Chinese declared independence from the Manju in 1912, but they were subdued by the military clique of the Chung dynasty. (2) The Republic of China was founded by the Nationalist Party of China in 1925, and finally occupied Peking(Beijing, the capital of the Chung dynasty) in 1928. (3) The People's Republic of China was founded by the Chinese Communists in 1950. DICTIONARY Hang Woo : 항우, 項羽 Saki : 사기, 史記 (more) (less) [ 2007-06-28 22:35:04 universe 修改 ] |
