  Tester 1: Release/AutoUpdate testing.
The AutoUpdate mechanism is the path we use to manipulate MSN Explorer. We use this mechanism to upgrade customers, retire brands, and change versions.  This can be done thru a seamless download that is hidden from the customer or can be forced thru setup UI.
Tester 2: Release/Certification testing
Certification is the last review (smoke test) of a MSN property or dependent partner before releasing RTW. Certification minimizes the potential unknowns that releases present to the client and MSN and will create a better experience for the end user. We certify everything from IE to Passport to make sure the MSN network remains stable and functional.
Tester 3: Strike/Dev
The MSN Strike Team is devoted to closing the gap between MSN Product teams and the MSN customer through technical exploration and data processing.
Qualifications:
  STE Level 2- This tester will become very familiar with the AutoUpdate process of the MSN clients (and eventually Messenger).  They need a good understanding of windows operating systems, installation of software, and networking. This person will need to be able to problem solve issues and use debugging tools such as Netmon, FDR Dump, and Wininet Tool. They will run manual tests on multiple OS’s for multiple lang/market/brands of the MSN client and signoff on a given test matrix. They will need to work thru 3 stages of AutoUpdate to RTW. SDE/T 2- This tester needs to be able to understand the big picture of MSN network and its dependent properties and intricacies. They will need a considerable experience with windows operating systems, web services, and testing practices. They will need to be able to follow precise test plans and instructions and have the ability to multitask. This person will run manual test cases for each property during a release. They will also assist in building and running certification automation as well. Able to be accountable to task, flexible to change, and open.  Solid testing methodology and coding skills are required.
SDE/T 2- We are in search of a candidate with strong English skills, both written and spoken, a solid background in .NET development with a focus on C# and Visual Basic languages, and a solid background in SQL.  Candidates should have very good debugging skills and be familiar with web-based tools development.  Flexibility and adaptability will be required in potential candidates as well as a team-oriented work ethic.  Additional programming languages are a plus, but not required.
