           Legend of Halloween
--Halloween
It was Halloween. Christian was alone at home. Her parents were out traveling. Christian was 18 already, but she didn’t think she should celebrate Halloween as an adult or a child. She decided to stay at home, and looking people from outside window.
People in her community were parading. All of them were dressed up. Snow-whites, withes, vampires, angles, superman… all kinds of characters that just could be seen just on the screen could be seen then.
“ Nothing happens, nothing new.” Christian said, every year, with every same thing, boring at all. Sleeping is better than this silly thing.” Then she closed the curtain, and went to bed.
It was really a wonderful night. Just in a little while, her breathing became very smooth. Once in a while, some sound of discomfort could be heard.
The clock struck 11. It was still very noisy outside, and it was still very silent inside.

Suddenly, a black figure appeared. It moved quickly, then stopped in front of Christian’s bed. It was a man in black cloak. He had a handsome appearance but with a canine teeth out of his mouth. His lips were as red as blood.

He bent down, stretching his hand, touching the girl’s face, just like appreciating a work of art. A smile came from his face. He bent down again; opening his mouth… he was to bite the girl.
There was something that like wind came to Christian, and she got the feeling of cold, she woke up. She opened her eyes, a scary picture coming to her: a handsome man with blood red lips wanting to bite her.
“ No…” Christian shouted.
The sudden voice frightened the man away. Then stood tune, smiling to Christian.
Christian jumped off her bed. Her distinction made her run to the door. She wanted to leave badly.
“ Ho, ho, ho…” the man laughed, you will never run away from me.”
Christian dared not stop. She kept running.
“You’re the very girl that I selected. There is no reason for me to let you go.”
“ What? Why?” Christian cried, who are you? Are you devil? God? No matter who you are, please let me go!”
“It is your fate. You’re destined. You should have felt happy.” The man smiled like a devil, if I bite you, you will have an eternal life.”
“No, no. That is not what I want. I have parents; I have friends; I am very young; I still have a lot of things to do; what’s more, I can’t live a lonely life. Eternal life means nothing to me.” You have that miracle power, the you are god, please set me free…”
“You are not obedient…” smile disappeared from the man’s face. he became serious.
Just a flick of time, the man stood in front of Christian. He held her arms tightly and bent to bite when the clock struck 12.
“No…” the man frowned, I have wasted too much time on you, time was up. I can’t accomplish my job now. But I promise you, I will come the next year, and fulfill my task. Do remember, I will come to you next year.” Then he disappeared like water steam in the air.
“Oh, stay your way!” Christian despaired, mom, dad… what can I do?

No matter what she said, there was no response but the echo: I will come next year.
